Cody Ross goes Yard!

Cody Ross hit his first home run of the season, with hopefully many more to follow .

Cody Ross hit his first homer of the season Thursday, a two-run drive in the fifth. It also was the first home run of the year for a Marlins center fielder.

After hitting .335 with 12 home runs and 39 RBI last year, Ross is hitting .157 with four RBI this season.

Needless to say the folks at CodyRoss.org spent most the night cheering Co-dy, Co-dy, Co-dy.  And in between cheers popping champagne corks high-fiving each other until their hands were raw.

Okay, maybe they didn't do any of that but they were to happy to see him finally break through .  As was I.
