The NL East Leading Marlins are looking to even the series tonight against the Reds.
Hendrickson had some troubles with his pitch count in his last outing, but he still managed to do good enough that the bullpen was able to bring it home. Mark has made two previous starts at Great American and they didn't go so well. But no matter, this year is all about breaking those kind of streaks.
Volquez, as you can tell from his stats, has been next to lights out this season. He hasn't given up more than 1 ER in any of his starts this season. Also, he tends to strike a lot of batters out. This will be his first ever against the Marlins. Should be interesting.

Another thought. I love Amezaga and is work in the field, but the lead-off experiment doesn’t seem to be working. Why not give Carroll a chance in center and at the lead-off spot?

Tankersley is really just brutal. I have a feeling they’d let him languish in the minors if not for him being a former first-round pick.

Speaking of inventory at work. I work at a local sports store at Dolphin Mall in Miami. We are called Sports Fan-Attic. We have sports on television 24/7 and I work most nights of the week. Since the fish predominantly play at night, you would think this is fantastic. The problem is, however, we do not get Sun or FSN!!!! Being a Marlins fan, I do not get the chance to watch games and am stuck watching gamecast on my phone!
I guess you could say I’m asking for your help, but I won’t put our number here. I will give you our website… www.sportsfanatticshop.com. If you could find it in your heart to find the customer service number on the website and demand your fish at your local sports store it would be very much appreciated! It will also show them that the Marlins are just as important down here as the Red Sox and Yankees ( who we carry more gear of than the home town marlins )!!!

The guy sure wants to play for us. The team wants him too.
I just don’t see what he adds to our team. I don’t see him performing that much better than the Cody/Fredo platoon. His career line is .278/.327/.451. He’s not a leadoff hitter. Not a lot of steals. I just don’t get it.
