The best team in baseball, at this moment, is the Florida Marlins!
The leading everything Marlins will continue on the road trip and face the Reds today for the start of a four game set.
The Hopper is coming off his first win of the season and will be making his first start in that bandbox the Reds call a ballpark. Burke has the stuff to pitch successfully in Great American Park, but the sinker needs to work and stay down in the zone.
Harang is a first class pitcher, but unfortunately for him, but maybe lucky for us, he doesn't get any run support. In fact, in the last three games he started the Reds could only muster 3 runs total, all resulting in a loss.
Ichthyomancy is trying to figure out whether it hates day games or Monday more. But after a Sunday day game, Monday does happen, so here we are. Ichthyomancy is ready for your prognostications and as always, Good Luck!

Lazy Request
Does anyone have the time/interest to post last year’s standings at this point in the season? I’m just curious to know how different things looked between now and the end of the season. Obviously the Rockies weren’t in first, but If my fuzzy memory is correct, I’d guess 4 of the 6 div champs were in first at this point in the season.
Yes, I am too lazy to try to find this out myself.

hmm...
I would like to see a replay of the runners on the Griffey drop in the 8th—I just don’t see how Helms doesn’t score from first, maybe I’m not replaying it correctly in my head, but it seemed like that ball was in the air forever, and then he fumbles around with it… water under the bridge, I suppose.
