2008 - Shawn Hill 0-0 4 4 0 0 0 0 23.1 26 11 10 0 9 15 3.86 1.50

The NL East Leading Marlins are looking to complete their second sweep in as many series.

Olsen has gone seven innings or more in five of his last six starts.  Really the big thing for Ollie is to somehow deal with getting up early and the fact, he is pitching with a big orange fireball in the sky.  Scott is a creature of the night, in case you didn't know.

Hill has pitched reasonably well this season but doesn't have much to show for it.  He is a better pitcher at home and shines during day games.  The Marlins faced him earlier in the season at JRS and did pretty well against him.

Ichthyomancy is still hating day games.  But is ready to log your picks for today's game, so Good Luck!

the score here says 5 – 4 but im watching the gamecast on espn and its still 4 – 4…. is espn lagging or is there an error on here?

by fishstick on May 11, 2008 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

there's my answer....

espn gamcast lags that’s upsetting.

by fishstick on May 11, 2008 3:30 PM EDT up reply actions

mlb.com

i think is probably the quickest updating, espn is definitely behind. and i think mlb.com has a pretty cool interface. (every pitch is tracked and has a speed)

by GMFB on May 11, 2008 3:35 PM EDT up reply actions

mlb.com

they have probably the most complete gamecast, especially with the video highlights. it does lag sometimes though. cbs sportsline is generally very fast and up-to-date.

good grief

7 straight games, two straight sweeps, locking up our superstar long-term…

we have the BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL. We’ll see what happens tonight with the D-backs and Red Sox

by The Architect on May 11, 2008 3:57 PM EDT reply actions

25% of the season is complete

and we are in first place with the best record in baseball. Life is good!

by SprintSTboy on May 11, 2008 10:12 PM EDT reply actions

Best Record what?

I can’t believe this. I realize it’s early and its a looooong 162 game season, but who in their right mind would have ever believed that the marlins would ever have the best record in baseball? whether its 5 games in, 20 games in, or 37 games in?!! we are 9 games over .500. Insanity!!! i Love this team.

And everything i ever said about Uggla i retract. playing out of his head. that must be some really good creatine he’s using….

AAB

the Marlins had no errors, no?

by The Architect on May 12, 2008 9:56 AM EDT up reply actions

No

Alfredo was charged with an error in center field. That is, unless, they have changed the scoring.
