Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Nationals (5/10)
Florida Marlins at Washington Nationals, May 10, 2008 7:10 PM EDT
The NL East Leading Marlins, who are off to the best start in franchise history, will try to secure a series win tonight.
Miller will be trying to build on his last start, the best one this season. Hopefully the young Mr. Miller has figured something out about this pitching thing. If he has, he can be nasty. If he hasn't, he won't make it past the fifth.
O' Connor will be making his first start of the season against the Marlins. He is a soft tossing lefty, who the Marlins just........in 2006. I won't fill in the blank because this is baseball and superstition is a part of the game. But let's just say, in 2006 we did okay against him. Since he is lefty Cody should see his second start in-a-row for what I think is the first time this season. Don't expect O' Connor to last more than five innings since he isn't stretched out.
Ichthyomancy is ready to go. So do what you do best and Good Luck!

oh, and...
craig, you’re probably right about the AAB…I wrote it in a hurry and it sounded like a lot of pitchers at the time. Thanks.

Well, Crap!
I wrote your picks down, including Miller and somehow didn’t include them in the table. Very sorry about that. I will include your point for Miller.
My apologies.

good times
Hanley’s contract, a blowout win, Miller pitches like an ace, 3rd best record in baseball… what a glorious day. Time to hit up the bars!

Great day for the Marlins!
Now Miller is pitching shut outs? Great move locking in Ramirez. It has to motivate the team and fans. Is there magic back in the Magic City? Go Fish!

Wow...
The Fish are on fire! Hopefully the back end of our rotation is finally solidifying: Two straight good starts from Miller and Badenhop, and Nolasco got one on Friday. And of course, then there’s the Hanley deal. It’s good to be a Marlins fan these days!
Sunday picks:
28,000
Hermida
Marlins ≥ 3 XBH
