Chum Bucket
The Marlins are out touring the Nations Capital and everything it has to offer. As for me, I'm completely out of time. So therefore, it is a rush job Chum Bucket.
The other three members of the NL East will be action today, so you may want to keep an eye on them. Should you want a break from baseball, and I can't think of a reason why you would, Tennessee is playing Stanford for the women's NCAA championship tonight. And I'm sure there is a whole bunch of other stuff.
As with every Chum Bucket it is an open thread, so discuss anything that your heart desires.
Have a Great Day!

Thought
Hey, since we are off, that means we are guaranteed to be in first place for at least another day!

btw
Only 20,487 at the second game in a new stadium. Not that Marlins fans have room to talk, but that doesn't sound like it bodes well for the rest of the season.

remember though
40-50 degree Monday night game against the Marlins the same night the NCAA Basketball championship is on... If I was a Nats fan I know that is one game I'd miss.

Stadium News
The county and city police officers finally figured out that they could SHARE the police and fire duties at the new stadium - took long enough! They're like children fighting on the playground over this stuff. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking_news/story/487577.html

lineup
Is it too early to start talking about tinkering with the lineup?
It seems like we have a team of 5/6 hitters, all ready to hit it out but not worrying about getting on base. Am I the only one who doesn't like Hanley leading off? How long do we leave Uggla batting 2nd? Where do we put Hermida?
Here's what I'd like to see for the most part
Amezaga
Hermida
Hanley
Willingham
Jacobs
Uggla
Cantu
Traenor

lineup etc
I fully agree..hanley in no way shape or form belongs at the 1. he has pop and though setting the record for lead off home runs would be nice, that translates to a drop in run production vs. having him bat 3rd. i like this lineup a lot, uggla cant hit the broad side of a barn, and though moving him wont help him at all, it certainly cannot hurt.

OBP...
The problem is that Hanley has the highest on-base percentage of our team, and that's what you want in a leadoff hitter (along with steals).
I love Fredo, but his career OBP is .317. Hanley's is .372. That's a big difference.
I definitely agree that Uggla doesn't belong in the 2 spot. I think you could put Hermida there and rotate Uggs to the 5 or 6 spot.
On a lot of other teams, Hanley would be a 3 hitter, but he's the best on our team at getting on base, so we need him to set the table. Or there won't be anybody on base.

picks and lineup

hanley
hanley 3+ hits againnn
Regarding the lineup: someone said hermida was made of glass, but Jesus Christ de aza. I genuinely feel for the guy but as a fan it sucks he can't stay healthy cause he'd be perfect at leadoff
