Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Nationals (4/10)
Florida @ Washington
For the second series in a row the NL East Leading Marlins are going for the sweep. (Those are fun words to type -- give a try at home in your spare time. You will be glad you did.)
Now onto the game.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Mark Hendrickson.
The Nationals have Odalis Perez on the slate.
Game time is 7:10 p.m.
Hendrickson is getting a little better in each game. In his last outing he only gave up 1 ER in 5.1 innings. In his career he yet to beat the Nationals, but no never mind, we're breaking all those streaks this series.
Perez is lefty -- so look for Cody to start in center. Perez is having some problems with a blister on his pitching hand and in turn hasn't been able to control his fast ball. The key for the Marlins is to stay patient and make him throw strikes.
Note to Mbaamin: I haven't forgotten you and hopefully I will get home in time to explain the viewing problem tonight.
Ichthyomancy is looking for the first sweep of the season. So be sure to get your picks in and Good Luck!
[Update] GameFish recaps last night's game as only GameFish can: "Scott Olsen is My Hero".

dont know if this was known...
but the braves SB site have a game very similar to ichthyomancy. they also describe it very similar to the way wiggins did. http://www.talkingchop.com/2008/3/27/124457/534
I know there was an issue a season or two ago when someone took the game over the yankees SB site. you really ought to get that copywrited, craig.

Well, it is what it is...
... a cheap knock-off. One of the coolest things about Ichtyomancy is that it's a real thing!

Wow
Not even so much as an "idea taken from our sister site fishstripes."
The braves used to be the team i had a grudging respect for in the NL east. Maybe not so much anymore...

In their defense...
if you click on the link at the bottom of the left side bar about NAWARL, or whatever they call it, they do admit it was stolen from FishStripes.
Which works for me.

I've given up
it should've been copyrighted right after it was invented, but I'm not that smart.
Actually, I've gotten to the point I don't mind sharing. The Yankees case was somewhat different.

Nat cam
I forgot to mention that a company has a couple of cams setup at the new ballpark. Not live action by any means, but if you can't watch the game, at least you'll see some Marlins.

Hermida's defense
Great to have his bat back in the line-up, but his defense seems to be as bad as last year.
