Santana, the top free-agent prize of the winter, makes his first start as a National League pitcher today for the Mets. "It'd be nice to welcome him with his first loss,'' said Ross, who will face the two-time Cy Young Award winner for the first time today. "But it's going to be tough. He's an unbelievable pitcher.''
