Game Today
The Marlins play their spring training roommates today.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Dallas Trahern.
The Cardinals have Todd Wellemeyer on tap.
Game time is 1:05 p.m.
The Marlins are the home team.
The game will be on 790 The Ticket. This will be the radio flagship's first broadcast of the spring.
I won't be able to post the magic updating box score for today's game. However, maybe someone will do it in the comments.
Have a Great Day!

Looks like a good come from behind win
Not sure how, but that's some resilliancy right there.
I'm excited for the season to begin!

Game observations
The relievers all looked great! Gregg is just nasty. The two hitters he struck out looked completely lost. Only Nestor and Keppel gave up hits and they were of the ground ball variety. In fact, Castillo made yet another great defensive stop on the ground ball hit to him but the throw was too late to get the runner at first. Willimas and Lindstrom both walked a batter but stranded their runners at first. I would say the bullpen has a great chance of being another bright spot this year, just like last year.
Trahern on the other hand, looks like he needs some more time. He was all over the place with his control. He walked three guys, gave up a few hard hit balls and ended up being pulled after he loaded the bases in the second. The Cards didn't even have their heavy hitters out there, either. No Pujols, no Glaus, no Molina; they had mainly backups and roster guys that will probably start in the minors in there lineup today.
The offense was a little lacking today but it was just enough to get us the win. De Aza was just short of having his third homer in three days and Brett Hayes almost hit a homer of his own but it hooked foul down the third base line. Uggla hit a rocket for his single in the first inning. Besides that, we really got helped out by the three errors made by the Cardinals.
I was just a little curious why La Rusa had his starting pitchers trying to go three innings. This is the third spring training game I've been to and every team so far has had there starters go 2 innings (if they could last that long).
What I didn't like was when I went up to the guy to buy a program, he had Cardinals programs laid out on the counter and, seeing me in my Marlins hat and jersey, asked me if I wanted a Marlins program and then had to take it out of a rubber banded stack. I thought this was our home game? Oh well. Such is life as a Marlins fan.
Tomorrow should be a good game. Olsen is starting and hopefully the Cards will throw out some actual hitters for us to face.

$$Loria$$
Marlins owner anxious for new stadium, vows payroll increase after opening
"I'd love to have it tomorrow," Loria said of the $619 million stadium, which received approval from city and county officials and is scheduled to open in time for the 2011 season.
While paying his first visit to spring training on Saturday, Loria also vowed to increase payroll with the opening of the new ballpark at the Orange Bowl site, but he did not specify to what extent.
A lot more. Just go read the article.

Posting without saying anything.
But rest assured, before the season starts, I'll have a nice little diatribe on the subject, either as a comment or perhaps, if it suits my ego, its own diary.
In short: no. No no no no no.
