Chum Bucket
We are a little light today and that probably won't improve as the week goes on. It is the holiday season after all. And then there is the fact that I'm still trying to figure out where the heck all of the stuff I ordered is presently residing. Because it sure isn't here.
But enough about that. Let's see what is on the tube in the way of sports. We do have college bowl game tonight, the Poinsettia Bowl which will feature undefeated Boise State against TCU in San Diego. What San Diego has to do with poinsettias, I'm not really sure.
This has the potential to be good game. Boise State is a high powered offense and TCU claim to fame this year is an excellent defense. So something has to give.
If college bowl games aren't your thing, there are men's college basketball games taking place on TV along with a NBA game.
However, if none of that interests you, feel free to discuss anything that does.
In the meantime, I will get back to my scavenger hunt. And oh, have a Great Day!

I repeat, this is why MLB sucks ass. The Yankees and Red Sox fight over every major free-agent, the Megs get a few, and everyone else can sift through the dregs. It’s time for a salary cap, and lock out the players if they don’t like it. This has to change.
i wrote an article about that
on bleacher report about a month ago… Right after the yankees signed C.C.
I think that this is the link
apparently it wasn’t too good, my least read article haha
A salary cap is not the best idea...
when you impose a salary cap to keep a leash on the spending by the owners, all you end up doing is making the owners richer at the expense of the players. And no one pays the price of a ticket to watch the owner sit in his luxury box.
A better way to keep one or two teams from buying all of the good players, is a better revenue sharing system. And let’s face it, the Yankees don’t make a billion dollars a year playing intra-squad games. The players aren’t forcing the Yankees to pay big money, the Yankees are doing that on their own.
Yanks
Best case scenario: Marlins win this year cause we have younger, more fiery, talent and the Yanks go bankrupt and go under because they dont know how to manage themselves financially.
spanks
I don’t like the yanks and their spending spree any more than anyone else, but at least they’re trying to win. I’d argue that what the Marlins do is just as harmful to baseball overall.
I personally like that MLB doesn’t have a salary cap, but I agree that the system is broken.
You need a economics degree to follow trades in the NBA.
