Florida Marlins change official web address

The Florida Marlins official site is no longer floridamarlins.com.

The Florida Marlins today announced that effective immediately the Marlins official website can be accessed at its new domain name -Marlins.com. In addition, the Marlins email address domain name will change from flamarlins.com to marlins.com.

I guess the immediate news of importance, for the time being, is the email address change.  I tried the old address floridamarlins.com and it is still working.

The change is very good news in that we won't have to spend an extra 5-tenths of a second typing Florida.

All snark aside, this is a good thing should the new stadium ever be built and the team changes its name to the Miami Marlins, it will allow for the same web address.
