Jeremy Hermida drawing interest of the Cubs
The Cubs have Jeremy Hermida on their mind.
So don't count on the Cubs depleting their trading or payroll resources to land Peavy when, as Piniella said Wednesday, the organization is in ''total agreement'' on pursuing a middle-of-the-order left-handed bat and more ''athleticism.'' Free agent Raul Ibanez, 36, is also in the Cubs' sights after a 23-homer, 110-RBI season with Seattle, along with Marlins outfielder Jeremy Hermida (.249, 17 homers, 61 RBI). Interesting.

Maybe that's who they meant to trade to Washington.
Getting a few crappy prospects for Hermida makes more sense than Olsen and Willingham.
Hermida really hasnt lived up to his potential

on the bright side,
at least he’s shaken the “injury-prone” label. On the downside, it appears we weren’t missing much.
