Chum Bucket
The World Series is off due to a travel day, so that means another Chum Bucket.
As with all the Chum Buckets before it you can discuss anything. Let's say college football is your fallback position when baseball isn't on -- tonight we have Boise St. playing San Jose St. Sadly, it isn't on the blue field. Or maybe exhibition NBA basketball peaks your interest (if it does, you need to get out more) the Wizards are at the Cavaliers.
Then again it could be you would like to pursue the arts. If that is the case, I have no idea what is happening but surely something is taking place. Or even it isn't that doesn't mean you can't discuss them here. Believe it or not, during the first year FishStripes was in existence there was actually a conversation about French literature. I'm guessing I wasn't the only one to read the thread and think: Huh?! But in a way the conversation was kinda cool.
But enough about that. It's a Chum Bucket, you know what to do.
Have a Great Day!

Pique
It’s “piques your interest” not peaks. Just so you know.
A conversation about French literature?
I’ve noticed it’s rather difficult to have any real conversations here, other than the occasional live game-commenting. Sure, we’’ll all make ichthyomancy picks, but there’s not a whole lot of baseball talk otherwise. Anyone else notice this?
Discuss.
i don't know
i think there is plenty of conversation… it’s just a matter if you get bored enough at work and sit at a computer to check it frequently enough to follow up…
I agree
on the other sports blogs I check in on, you’ll have a whole lot more comments than we normally do at ‘ol fishstripes, but 95% are “hell yeah!” "he’s gotta go" “no f-ing way [insert name here] has a job after this” etc. and about 5% substantive comments.
Build a stadium downtown and I'll buy season tickets
I have to agree with Fishcrazy
I don’t think there are that many conversations, but I believe there are quite a few “lurkers.” I, for one, rarely comment – however, I read the site nearly every day.
Back to baseball
So the phillies are at home now. I don’t think it matters. In fact, I don’t think they’ll actually play. I’m picking the rays just in case. It’s cold up there. I wonder how the Rays will handle it.
