Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Nationals (9/3)

Happy Labor Day!  That is assuming you are in the U.S. or Canada, if not, Happy September 3!

The Marlins are in D.C. to play three against the Nationals.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Rick VandenHurk.

The Nationals have on tap Jason Bergmann.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

VandenHurk is coming off two good starts in a row,  In his last start he struck out a career-high eight batters.  This will be his first start ever against the Nationals but don't expect him to go much past five innings.

Bergmann normally does his best work at home where he has posted both of his wins this season.  Also, he has coming off one of his best starts of the year.  However, he did have a start in Florida earlier this season and quite frankly, got shelled by the Fish.  The Marlins scored 8 runs before chasing him after 4.1 innings.  Bergmann is known to give up the long ball.
