Olsen's back problems

Scott left yesterday's game due to a upper back problem.

Scott Olsen allowed three runs on five hits in the first inning and didn't come out for the second due to upper back stiffness.

---

Olsen's problem is chronic. He said he has some curvature of the spine and his upper back barks on occasion as a result. This is the first time it's caused him to leave a game.

---

"There are good days. There are bad days. I've had the same kind of thing. My back is never good."

That would explain a lot about his start but it also sets off sirens to how much he can be counted on in the future.  Olsen at times last season was lights out and there is no questioning his talent, but this information coming to light does raise concerns about his longevity.
