Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Dodgers (7/8)

The Marlins will try to sweep their way into the All-Star break.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Scott Olsen.

The Dodgers are rushing up Mark Hendrickson.

Game time is 4:10 p.m.

Olsen has won two of his last three decisions and the Marlins have won five of his last six starts.  Unfortunately, lately, he keeps drawing the day game and Scott is most definitely a creature of the night.

Hendrickson has been a starter off and on this season, spending most of his time in the bullpen.  The Dodgers staff is a bit depleted and he will be making his second start this month on three days rest.  Hendrickson is a lefty.

It is the normal Sunday day game, albeit a little later than we are use to.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

yahoo...
...doesn't seem to like gregg.

"Gregg continues to play with fire, but so far the Marlins haven't been burned by his shaky control. His K:BB ratio is 11:12 over his last 16 appearances."

Burned... yes, that's why he's 16 for 16 in save opportunities and our CL... and jorge julio has yet to get a save...

Don't know if the Dodgers are just sucking or the Fish are starting to play some ball, but I'll take it.

Build a stadium downtown and I'll buy season tickets

Sucking
it's a little of both.  The top of the Marlins lineup is killing the Dodgers, plus the Dodgers pitchers look tired.  Pierre on the otherhand has always sucked.  Fish could easily score 10 runs off of Lurch today.

I always get scared when people get taken out...
...without an at-bat or anything.  That often means they've been traded.  I certainly hope that's not the case.
