Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Devil Rays at Marlins (6/8)

The Marlins are finally back home and tonight they will be going for that elusive .500 mark once again. Now, to make a completely selfish statement, I get to hear Rich and Tommy again. Yea! I'm tired of the other team's announcers. How many times do I have to hear about why Miller has to wear long selves or them butchering the name Amezaga? A man can only take so much. It's good to have them back.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Byung-Hyun Kim.

The D-Rays will send to the hill, J.P. Howell.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Kim, career-wise, is 2-0 against the D-Rays with a 1.96 ERA.  He has started against them already this season, in fact, he was his first start for the Marlins.  He went 5.1 IP while allowing 2 ER.

Howell opened the season in Triple-A and was recently called up by the D-Rays.  He made his season debut in his last outing against the Royals.  Howell did well in his first start of the year going 8 IP while only allowing 1 run on 5 hits.  He is a lefty and hasn't faced the Marlins before.

Ichthyomancy is up and running as we get back to our normal schedule.  For those who may be inclined to pick Olivo as the player of the game, Treanor normally catches Kim. Also, from all reports Cabrera is expected to return to lineup for tonight's game.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

wow
I almost feel bad for the Rays.  Almost.
14-8.  Are we sure it's not the dolphins and bucs out there?

Both teams have 23 LOB at this point.  Wonder what the record is for something like that.
