PrintThe Cubs honored Marlins special assistant Andre Dawson before the game yesterday.
The Cubs honored Marlins special assistant Andre Dawson before the game by presenting him with a framed jersey. Dawson played for the Cubs from 1987-92 and was the '87 National League MVP. The team also gave away a limited number of game jerseys with Dawson's name and No. 8 on the back.
Dawson led the crowd in singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the seventh- inning stretch.
Did they show this on television and if so, did anyone Tivo it? If you did, please let me know. For I am sure Andre led a stirring rendition of the ballpark classic.
