Marlins Tryouts

If you have ever dreamed of playing for the Marlins, and who hasn't, and if you feel your skill level is good enough and you fit in proper age range - you will have the opportunity to show your stuff.  But you need to do it today.

The Marlins will hold their annual open tryout today in Jupiter for players between the ages of 16 and 24, as long as they're not currently attending a college baseball program.

Players with previous professional experience are eligible regardless of age. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. between fields 4 and 5.

If you decide to grab your glove and head out to Jupiter, I wish you all the best.  But if you do go, your best shot of making it somewhere in organization is if you are left-handed and throw the ball about 95 miles per hour.  If you can't do that, then being a skilled center fielder who can hit may land you on the big club immediately.

Should you decide to give it shot, and why not, let us all know how it went.
