Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

Game Today

The Marlins coming off their first win in the Grapefruit League this season will once again face the Baltimore Orioles, but this time it is a real road game.  That's right, the Marlins will get on a chartered jet at Jupiter's Intergalactic Airport and fly all the way to Fort Lauderdale.  If the boys look a little sluggish today, they are probably jet lagged.

Dontrelle Willis will make his spring debut as a starter for the Fightin' Fish.  He is scheduled to be followed by Matt Lindstrom, Henry Owens, Jose Garcia, Jesus Delgado, Scott Tyler and Aaron Thompson.

The Orioles will send Erik Bedard to the mound to start it off.  Who they have slated after that, I'm not quite sure.

Game time is at the usual, everyone has a late afternoon tee time, 1:05 p.m.

The game is on local radio.

Announcers Dave Van Horne and Roxy Bernstein make their spring debuts today when they call the game on 560-AM.

I guess the radio announcers, like the players, are gradually working themselves back into regular season form.  I mean, come on, would you really expect them to go all the way to Jupiter on their first outing.

Roxy is questionable
He was on the red-eye last night... I think his wife gave birth

if no Roxy, Jesse Agler will handle the duties

The wrong kind of shutout
And the wrong kind of one-hitter.  Cody Ross gets the only hit; Andino the only walk.

I checked in at WQAM and I'm pretty sure they were saying that they actually went ahead and played the bottom of the ninth (after the game was officially over) just to get people some more time.

I know there's that rule where NL home games can use the DH if both teams agree to it, but this... I wonder if they can do anything at all as long as both teams agree... "Hey, you guys want to play with ghost runners?"

Game
The other upside was Alfredo did get HBP to round out the offensive showing.

Yep, the offense was looking good today.

Wow...
That flight from Jupiter Intergalactic must have really gotten to them.
