Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Mets at Marlins (8/3)

The Marlins will try for the series win tonight.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Dontrelle Willis.  The Mets will send Pedro Martinez to the mound.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Dontrelle is coming off a rocky last outing.  But the D-Train doesn't stay off track for very long.

Martinez has been going loss, win, in his last six starts.  Since he won his last start we can only hope he will remain consistent by losing tonight.

If you want to checkout the pulse of the Mets fans, there is no better place to go than Amazin' Avenue.

Ichthyomancy is up and ready.  Don't forget to get your picks in on time.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

The Mets are fine, but . .
they need to upgrade their closer.  They won't win the World Series with Wagner.  He blows games.

by Double B on Aug 3, 2006 10:09 PM EDT reply actions

Wagner's alright
its the set-up man they need to worry about, he's either not in the game or just lost his touch ... too bad Duaner got hurt, Heilman really needs a change of scenery
