Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Brewers at Marlins (8/27)

The Marlins will be going for seven wins in a row today.  Not to mention securing the series win.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Anibal Sanchez.  The Brewers will counter with Chris Capuano.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

Sanchez was excellent is his last four starts.  He will be trying to build on that today.  Anibal had some problems in his previous daytime starts.  His day game ERA is 6.61 as opposed to his night ERA of 2.39.

Capuano is another lefty.  He put up pretty good numbers in his last three starts.  Righties and lefties have hit him equally well.

Ichthyomancy is awake and ready.  It is the normal Sunday day game so be sure to get your picks in on time.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

Never mind
I found the description on the CBS Glog...
Jose Capellan is now on the mound for the Brewers and he gets Wes Helms to pop up, but Graffanino loses the ball in the sun and Helms is able to reach second with a double.

And I love DVH.  What a great call to end the game.  He sounded like a kid and a fan.

n00b here
hey guys, longtime fish fan, first time poster. first of all, i've always liked watching our young rosters blossom.  and i definitely feel this second rebuilding project has more potential than the first.

just wondering where you guys stood on the girardi issue.  i'm stuck up in the northeast with minimal game exposure, lest the sun-sentinel and herald!  i think he's been doing great, yet seems like the front office has had some clashes.  i personally would think it'd be a PR nightmare if he got canned and would put a bad impression on potential manager candidates.

thoughts?

Welcome Aboard!
I most definitely agree that Beinfest did an unbelievable job making the trades.  Far better than the first fire sale.

If Girardi is fired it will be a negative PR problem but the front office is use to that.

The Loria and Girardi situation is the elephant in the room but I am waiting until more information surfaces before commenting.
