Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Mets (7/8)

Game one

It's an old fashion double header today.

Trivia note:

The Marlins became the first team since the 1951 Brooklyn Dodgers to score six or more runs in an inning in three consecutive games.

A streak worthy of keeping alive.

First up:

The Marlins starting pitcher is Josh Johnson.  The Mets will send John Maine to the hill.

Game time is 1:20 p.m.

This is one of the Fox Saturday regional games of the week.  The network will show this broadcast to 15% of the nation.  Meaning, if you don't live in the Greater Miami Area or New York, you won't be seeing it.

Johnson is a stud.

Maine is making his third career start for the Mets and is still looking for his first win with New York.

Ichthyomancy is good to go.  Be sure to get your picks in on time - it's a dreaded day game.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

What a day for a ballgame...
Meaning, if you don't live in the Greater Miami Area or New York, you won't be seeing it.

It's times like this I curse the fact that I live in French Polynesia...
...wait a minute, I do live in New York!  Huzzah!

Jacobs...
...needs to patent that dive to first.

Uses it to take out Reyes last night; uses it to turn the unassisted double play today.

I don't watch enough Fox Saturday
I had not idea he worked these games.  Or is it just because it's the Marlins?

Either way I really enjoy his work.  He's not the best in the business or anything, but he's pretty good.

I'm almost positive...
...it's just when the Marlins have a regional FOX game.  He's definitely still on FSN, and I've never seen him on a national broadcast.

Crazy stat from the broadcast...
This is the first doubleheader with four rookie starters since August 7, 1977.

Gah.
Walks and errors.  Errors and walks.

Uh-oh...
HanRam elbowed in the head by Hammer.

I am getting absolutely sick and tired of these collisions on fly balls.  Nearly had one with Amezaga and Hermida earlier today too.
