Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Braves (7/27)

The final and decisive game in the series with the Braves is today.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Scott Olsen.  The Braves will counter with Jason Shiell.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

Olsen has won six of his last seven decisions.  The game he lost, he gave up two runs with none of them being earned.  In fact, he drove in the only run of the game for the Marlins.  That's the good news.  The bad news is he is pitches better at night than in the day.  Yes, he is a true Marlin.

Shiell will be making his first start of the season at Turner Field.  In his only other start this season, the Cardinals chased him after 4.

I have given up on my predictions as to whether the Jones boys will play or not since the Atlanta print media steered me wrong yesterday.

Ichthyomancy is front and center.  It is a day game so be sure to get your picks in on time.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

Afternoon off picks!

Jones boys get no hits off Olsen if they both start (worked yesterday), if not Hermida homers.

Hey craig...
Don't worry about trying to track Chipper and Andruw.  You know it's tough keeping up with the Joneses...

(Sorry, it's been sitting out there since I first read the thread, I had to get it out and get on with the rest of my day.)

Ross over Uggla?
Tough call... but I can see why you went that way.  It comes down to Runs Scored or RBI I guess.

Either way I'm just happy we got the win!

Whoa...
I have never sounded so hip in my life.

I'd try to use this as a translator at work if my school weren't so lily-white.
