Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Padres (6/9)
The trip out West reaches its final destination: San Diego. A very beautiful city when it isn't threatened by wild fires.
The starting pitcher for the Marlins is Ricky Nolasco. The Padres will tap Chris Young for the start.
Game time is 10:05 p.m.
Nolasco has been the consummate road warrior this season, going 3-0 with an 0.89 ERA.
Young has been lights out in his last two starts. But three starts ago he was lit up like a christmas tree by the Braves. He has also been better on the road than at home.
If you get a chance, I highly recommend you visit our friends at Gaslamp Ball. They are a little bit off the wall but are a fun laid back group.
Ichthyomancy is well rested and ready to go. Be sure to get your picks in on time.

Hanley goes hitless :(
Hey i'm not sure if Willingham was any good, but why not put him back at catcher? then leave the outfield stocked with Borchard, Abercrombie, and Hermida ....... Cody Ross is a wasteland

mlb.tv
bad monitor=blurry
I'm on MLB.tv also since...
It wouldn't matter what kind of monitor you have, it's always kinda of blurry.
The picture seems worse than last year. I loathe MLB.tv
Ain't no thing
Lots of time left to win this thing.
Doing this in the wrong order
Need to do a little modifying in the strategy

I wouldn't start him at catcher
Also, since he is showing himself to be a good hitter there is no reason bang him up behind the plate. Catchers have to take off one to two games a week to recover.
And since he is having back spasms again I don't think catcher would suit his body.
Just my opinion.
Damn it!
