Ricky Going Home - Sort of

Nolasco is going to have a lot of family, friends and well wishers cheering him on tonight.

Ricky Nolasco's hometown of Rialto, Calif., is closer to Los Angeles than San Diego, but he might feel at home tonight.

Between friends and family, Nolasco is anticipating more than 100 supporters among the Petco Park crowd.

"I'm not leaving tickets for that many people, but I would say 100-125," Nolasco said. "People I haven't talked to in a long time, a lot of high school friends I haven't seen in a while, but mostly friends I'm still in touch with ... [San Diego] is close enough. If I can pitch in front of that many people that know me, that's pretty much home for me."

That may be comforting or may not.  It depends on Ricky and how he is wired.

I can't forget to this day, and believe me I have tried, the time when my Grandfather drove 400 miles to watch me play.  To it top all off, the neighbors came to the game.

It was the only time my Grandfather and the neighbors saw me play and I can tell you this:  I handled the situation of them watching me play and cheering my name from the stands in the only manor available to my character - I sucked.

Hopefully for Ricky he will find his family and friends to be a very relaxing moment and it will spur him along.
