Around SBN: Two Minutes Of Thunder Basketball Wins The Game

Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Giants at Marlins (5/29)

The Giants are in town, sporting their winning record and tied for last in their division.  Oh, how the West has changed.

The starting pitcher for the Marlins is Scott Olsen.  The Giants will trot out Matt Morris to the hill.

Game time is 6:05 p.m.

I really don't care that the game is at twilight which makes it difficult for the players in the early innings - I get to see it.

Morris hasn't been the Morris of old.  If the team can get runners on, the hard part, and if they can keep themselves from getting  picked-off, the harder part, we should be able to score some runs.

If you get a chance during the game you ought to check out the open thread at McCovey Chronicles.  I haven't read one of their game threads this year but last year, they were cleverly funny.

The holiday version of Ichthyomancy is primed and ready.  Be sure to get your picks in on time.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

FishStriper Attendance Player AAB

Pickin' in the rain...
My one day at home before yet another trip, seriously considering scooting down to the park but the massive packing job, general disorder and approaching thunderstorms are weighing against it.

ATT: 10,226
PoG: Jacobs
AaB: Olsen total pitches > total minutes of rain delay
If that isn't acceptable, or if there are no rain delays, then go with:
Jacobs TB > Bonds TB

Thanks to Colombo :-)
We have to wait until the Heat's game is over or until Haslem scores 6.

I just checked and he has 4 thus far.

WHOA!
Not a whole lot of people came to tonights Marlin game--I guess people didn't care about wasting the tickets they bought to see number 715 from Barry Butthead.

Craig
I hate to ferret you with another question but to determine players receiving Ichthyomancy points, do you look at the MLB.com Box Scores?

Depends
on whether I saw the game or not and the nature of the AAB picks.

I rarely go MLB.com proper but the ones I go to gets their data from MLB.
