Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Astros (4/5)
Tonight Big Moe is on the schedule to face Wandy Rodriguez.
Game time is at 8:05 p.m.
April 5th - this is a very special day in Marlins history. On this day in 1993, the Marlins won their very first game beating the Dodgers 6-3 at JRS.
Hopefully in tonight's game the boys will celebrate this milestone by winning the first series of the season. It would be most fitting.
Be sure to make your picks for Ichthyomancy. Much like the lottery, you can't win if you don't play.
Also - as pointed out in last night's comments - if you could do us the favor of making the "above and beyond" picks things we could verify in the box-score or recap, that would help us and make it more likely for you to get your points. Thanks!
Good Luck!

Hermida (he has to step up one of these games, right?)
Hermida goes 3-4 with two extra base hits.

Mine
Dan Uggla
Miguel gets as many or more hits as the Astros entire team scores runs.
That might be confusing so:
Miguel's Hits
>
or
=
Astros' Runs

Bummer
Attendance: 35,324
Player: Hermida (or Mermida, as MLB called him for awhile there)
AAB: The Fish are up big, when a frustrated Astros reliever plunks a Marlin on purpose. Being young, he rushes the mound, and the two benches clear; When the dust settles, Dan Uggla is sitting on Preston Wilson, sucker-punching him.
I'm changing my AAB pick
New AAB: Hermida hits a homer on a 3-2 count.
I assume as people relax and have more fun
Weird.
Picks
Jacobs
Hermida hits = Earned Runs against Rodriguez

Big Moe
And I thought we were gonna have a good game after drawing first blood.
Good outing for Nolasco
Poll update -
I missed it
What happened?
Biggio hit one into left
Wow.
Ugh
It was a decent comeback
Attendance
Wow. Quite a dropoff.
Points
Point worthy players - Cabrera (who I'm surprised no one had), Hermida, and Nolasco (who I'm not surprised no one had). So colombo and I get points there.
Had Matter also nailed his AAB pick - so that's two for him.
Jerk.
