Hermida: Day-to-Day

Hermida was held out of the lineup due to a sore hip flexor.

One of the Marlins' top young players was not in the lineup Wednesday afternoon because of tightness in his right hip.

Rookie right fielder Jeremy Hermida aggravated his hip flexor while rounding second base and heading to third in the sixth inning of Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Padres. He pulled up at third base on Miguel Cabrera's double.

Hermida tried to play through it, but he was removed from the game in the ninth inning, after he had one at-bat (a strikeout) in the eighth. In the top of the eighth inning, Hermida clearly looked hobbled while running down Dave Roberts' triple to the right-field corner.

---

Hermida is available as a pinch-hit option, and he could be back in the lineup as early as Thursday.

Don't be surprised if the club decides to sit him for a few more days.  It's just not worth taking a chance at this point in the season.

Way off topic, but...
I want to post a diary of Jsprt and I's Opening Day experience at JRS, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the pictures to show up. Dan, craig, wiggins, anyone else... a little help? Thanks.

I wish I knew...
As you can tell from the update notes on my diary, they didn't originally show up... then they kept not showing up... and then after doing another update, they magically appeared.

What do you need to know?
The pictures need to be hosted on the web somewhere - like image shack, photobucket, some place else.  In other words, they need an URL.

Do you know the html code?  If not, no problem.  Just write the text and put the URL of the picture you want there and I will enter the code.  If you know the html code, the pictures will not show up but I can fix that once you post.

Make sense?
