Game Today

The Marlins play the Cardinals today.

Trotting out to the mound for the Marlins will be Scott Olsen.  The Cardinals will counter with Sidney Ponson.

Ricky Nolasco, Eddie Gaillard, and Josh Stewart are on the schedule to follow Scott.

The game is at Roger Dean Stadium and the start time is 1:05 p.m.

As with all spring training "Game Today" threads, consider it an open thread.

Yikes...
9-1 after 7 1/2.  As mike said elsewhere, enjoy while it lasts.

Reggie Abercrombie went deep.  (He should be plenty comfy at Roger Dean, having played most of last season there.)  Are the Fish really giving him a chance to win a job?

On a different subject, hats off to the two Marlins minor leaguers playing for their home countries in the WBC (in addition to Dontrelle and Miguel).  Don't know much about Kenny Birkenbosch, playing for the Netherlands, but saw a lot of Paul Mildren at Jupiter last year.  Solid but not spectacular stuff, but a lot more savvy than most of the kids on that pitching staff.  Doesn't get noticed a lot after Jason Vargas's meteoric rise last year and then all the offseason pitching acquisitions, but I'll confess I'll be rooting for him to make his way through the system and make it to the big club some year soon.

Oops
Make that 9-0 after seven full.  Jeesh, I can't read today, my brain is totally off the hook.

My musically inclined fish...
I was watching the baseball movie "Pasttime" last night (I give it a grade of Doc Gooden; great start, loads of potential, but little delivery).  Anyways, they used a song "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" sung by a bass with a mellow voice.  Google hasn't figured out who it was, and I need to know.
Any help?

Take a look at this page
Django's Music

It has a list of credits for the soundtrack, but you may have already seen that.

Thanks
Almost as soon as I posted that, it dawned on me to look for the sound track on Amazon.
