I voted other. I haven't settled on who yet, but I think the Fish need to go after a proven guy - especially if they want to be a contender next year.

I really like Alex Gonzalez, as much as I've been disappointed by him this year. But I think that he's going to be over-priced.

Two names that come to mind as potential replacements are Rafael Furcal and Nomar Garciaparra. Furcal could replace Pierre at the top of the lineup (maybe - and this is more wishful thinking than anything - Pierre would be traded, Encarnacion would be resigned to play center, and Hermida would slide into right).

Garciaparra is obviously a huge risk (injury troubles over the years), but if he could be had for a short term, incentive laden deal, it could be a good risk.
