CNNSI has a feature up about the Marlins' Matt Treanor and his gold-medal winning volleyballer wife Misty May.

I really don't know much about her, but since we're surrounded by bikini-clad volleyballers here lately (no complaints - just stating the obvious), I figured this was worth mention. For all I know that's Misty's behind we're looking at (on the side).

I learned two things from this little story: one, that Misty talked Matt out of retiring. Had he listened to himself, he wouldn't have ever reached the majors. Two, they started dating in January (of 2004, I'm assuming) and were engaged by March. Apparently Matt works fast. I'll have to start to take note of whether or not he makes his pitcher work as quickly on the field.
